Our Process

At Regional Angels, we believe that the key to successful startup investing is identifying potential. We do this by the following 3 step process:

1. Initial Eligibility Screening: Is your pitch regionally-based and/or focused? We are looking for businesses that are founded, located in or provide a positive impact for regional areas. Is your startup valued at $6 million and under? Are you seeking funding of $1 million or less in this current funding round? If you meet this criteria, we encourage you to apply.
   
   
2. Pre-screening: If your startup is eligible, you may then be invited to a pre-screening video call to discuss your pitch. Your pitch will be evaluated against our screening criteria to assess the suitability of your startup to meet the investment mandate of our members. Successful pitches will be invited to present at our next pitch event.
   
   
3. Pitch events: Pitch events are run monthly, on the last week of the month, in each state commencing with Victoria in March 2023. More states will be added as the year progresses. Pitch events can be attended virtually or in person by both startups and angels alike. Pitch events will be held in different regional locations each month. Following the pitch event, interested members may invite you to a due diligence process undertaken by our members who are considering investment in your startup.
   
   

Pre-screening for pitches is carried out on the first week of each month.  We accept pitches throughout the month.
